Bioidentical Hormones – My experience so far

Hello, nice to have you here. I wanted to give you an update on my previous blog post about Bioidentical Hormones.

It’s been seven weeks now that I’m trying the Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy and I’m feeling good. I can’t ‘fib’ and say there’s a MASSIVE difference but it’s only been seven weeks since I started and the results can show later. The first differences usually start to show after six weeks but that’s all depending on each individual person. on, depending on your body. However, I noticed my skin’s feeling better and my hair’s thicker.

I went for my six weekly blood check today at the River Aesthetics clinic and once I have my results back we’ll see if I might need more of some specific hormones and how everything is working. It can obviously take time to adjust the hormones for each individual person. As Suzanne Somers in her book AGELESS explains (I highly recommend this book!), she needed higher levels of certain hormones which then all adjusted. One therapy doesn’t fit all and each body is different!

I’m also using Testosterone and Oestrogen gels and for today’s check-up, I needed to produce a lot of salivae which was strangely fun to do but much harder than you might think, haha, I won’t go into much detail here. My salivae will be sent to the lab in Manchester which can test if the gels are adequately working. I’ll get the results back in two week’s time.

I’m off on holiday soon and was worried I couldn’t use the gels on a beach holiday as they’d rub off when I’d go swimming, however, luckily I’ve been told I can just use them overnight rather than in the mornings to avoid them dissolving in the water.

I’ll keep you all posted on my progress and any changes in how I’m feeling. At the moment I’m feeling great and am a happy girl! 🙂

With love,
