The words ‘Personal Development’ are bandied around a lot these days. But what does Personal Development really mean?
However, to understand what it really means you’ll need to understand your past, how it affected your whole life and how to move on for the future.
About four years ago I started my own voyage of self-discovery. I started reading Rhonda Byrne’s ‘The Secret’ and afterwards ‘The Power’. Then I read ‘Many Lives, Many Masters’ but that’s a whole different subject.
I discovered Tony Robbins’ ‘Unleash the Power’ seminar which pummelled and poked me in ways I had never experienced before. I continued reading books to help myself, for example, Eckhart Tolle and Louise Hay, and slowly enlightenment was starting to dawn on me – I was responsible for my life, no one else, and I had the chance to change it if I wanted to!
At the start of 2018 I attended an animals’ life coach seminar to see if I had what it takes to become a coach, but also to obtain a certificate and title to what I do as a coach and professional. Although the course was informative, someone mentioned the words ‘LANDMARK FORUM‘ to me. The course instructor said: “those guys damage lives, it’s based on the teachings of Eckhart Tolle. My ears were pricked up. Eckhart Tolle is a German psychologist and spiritual mentor. He is my ‘go to’ mentor and the author of ‘The Power is now‘. But the instructor of the seminar slated him. I had to find out more and as the course progressed all I was thinking of was ‘Landmark Forum’. I knew it would be about leaving your past behind and realising that life is what it is.
In February 2018 I booked my attendance to the Landmark Forum course in London. The course ran over three days from 9am to 10pm at the weekend and wasn’t for the faint-hearted. I prepared myself mentally as I knew it was going to be tough to face my past but I liked the idea of how the course would be revealing my true self and change my outlook on the future. I was very excited, to say the least!
The minute I arrived and the course started I knew I was in safe hands. Over the next three days, we explored what defines us, how our past shapes our now and our lives up until now, how our coping mechanisms (or our identity if you like) has been formed by three specific incidences in our lives that have shaped, moulded and ultimately created our lives.
The word “Transformational” has been attached to this course. I would concur. My life will never be the same again and if you want to hear more about the Landmark Forum then please contact me; Tracey Beesley, Tel: +44 (0) 7932 945738, Email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
I can assure you that your life can be transformed too, if you want it to, but you have to have an open mind and no expectations.
