Happy Summer and sunshine greetings

It is not really even fully Summer and yet we are experiencing one of the most wonderfully consistent periods of sunshine. I hope, like me, you are getting a chance to really enjoy it and take in the beauty of this amazing area that we are blessed to live in.

My attention has turned in the last few months to all things 'fun' and with that in mind I set out below some upcoming events that you may be tempted to join in with - either with friends or to sit back, join the group (it's free) and accompany me and allow me to do the planning. I will of course, require payment for any tickes etc purchased. The events I have 'spotted' for your diary are -

Sunday 24th June - the Darker side of the East Cliff - a walk from Hotel Miramar 5pm. Ghost stories and intrigue too on this walk hosted by Hattie Miles. www.walkingtalks.wordpress.com

Tuesday 26th June - Bournemouth Crime & the Underworld - Pavillion Theatre, Westover Road starting at 11.00 a.m. Exploring the seamier side of Bournemouth history (and who doesn't like a bit of seam?) - murders, subterguge and links to the Krays too. Again, hosted by Hattie Miles.www.walkingtalks.wordpress.com

Friday 29th June 2018 - Michael Buble tribute at The King's in Christchurch - I am already booked for this if you wish to join

Friday 13th and Saturday 14th July - Pavillion Ballroom Bournemouth - Prosecco Festival - this is the first dedicated UK festival of its kind

Friday 13th and Saturday 14th July - Sandbanks Polo - I am going on the Saturday this year and it promises to be a fabulous day. I went last year and could not stop smiling, it was just awesome!

Saturday 14th July - Chas & Dave at the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre (having seen these two they are extremely talented musicians and likeable too)

Friday 27th & Saturday 28th July - Beer and Bluegrass Festival - in it's fourth year and to be held at the Victoria Education Centre Poole

Friday 10th & 11th August 2018 - BSO Proms in the Park - the two days offer either a Classical Extravaganza (Friday) or Disco Symphonic Spectacular (Saturday) to be held - both days sound amazing. And there is fireworks! Yah!

Saturday 11th August - Pavilion Theatre, Bournemouth - The Proclaimers - not my kind of thing but I thought I would share as it's not all about what I like.

Friday 17th August - Canvas - 90's dance festival - I would have loved this but will be at Rewind Henley Upon Thames.

Friday 17th, 18th and 19th August - Rewind - Festival of the 80's (10th year anniversary) at Henley on Thames - I am going with a camping ticket but am thinking of trading it for a weekend only and finding myself a little B&B (I Know, I am a coward)!

Tuesday 25th September 2018 - The League of Gentlemen Live Again - I did not get to go last year and won't make it this one as I' away on holiday but should anyone like to see these very talented comedians.

Friday 30th November 2018 - 808 State - these are a Manchester 'original' acid house band - I will be going to this as they are pioneers in their genre.

Tuesday 4th December - Years & Years - probably one of the most talented young bands around - simply fantastic and I will be travelling to Brighton to see them as I love Brighton - perhaps we could do this as a pre-Christmas 'girls on tour' event. It is easy to get to Brighton via Southampton.

I have so many ideas for events, you just have to give me a call or drop me an email. My details are - tracey@thelifestyleconcept.co.uk or phone 07932 945738.

With love always

24th January 2018 : Milford on Sea Positive Living group

Psychic medium Lynn Hooper

Not sure if this is of interest but I am a member of both Highcliffe Positive Living Group and Milford on Sea’s group both of whom have an active events page.

9th February 2018 : Let’s go to the Cave

Let’s go to the Cave – one of the best bars in the area – so friendly and they serve a cheeky G&T too if you don’t mind.  As long as I have numbers I can work out logistics – again if there’s enough of us we can do a mini bus from one location to help ease the way.

11th February 2018 : Wilkinson at O2 Academy.

I am a bit of a raver on the quiet (or on the loud) and I love DJs across all genres. Wilkinson is a bit of a dude and has appeared at many music festivals - If anyone fancies joining me?

Wilkinson
When / Saturday 17 February 2018

Having dominated stages at festivals all summer, dance DJ Wilkinson will be hitting the road for a headline UK tour in January. Best known for his club anthems such as ‘Afterglow’ and ‘Sweet Lies’, there’s no doubt that his live performance, complete with full band, will be something to remember.

4th March 2018 : Jazz Café

Walk along the sea-front from Bournemouth pier down to Sandbanks.  Eat in the Jazz café and then head back.  Nice long walk.  The Jazz café is a bit manic but it’s fun – the food has always been good.

18th March 2018 : Hengistbury Head

Swift walk from Boscombe to Hengitsbury Head (early am) before heading back and grabbing brunch probably at Bistro on the Beach.

30th March 2018

It’s my birthday the day before so leave the Friday flexible and I will organize something fun.

7th April 2018 : Winchester

Trip to Winchester on the train – tour around the city followed by lunch at one of the many eateries – Rick Stein, River Cottage, Cote, The Ivy (opening soon) etc or even just the lovely Greens which I love.

23rd April 2018 – Odeon Bournemouth

Cinema night – let’s see what’s on and go see it.

11th May 2018 : Arbor Bournemouth

Arbor – the new hot restaurant in town

http://www.arbor-restaurant.co.uk/

24th May 2018 : Cote Brasserie

I love the Cote Brasserie and this one is getting very good reviews.  Nice informal meal and a good old chin-wag and catch up

11th June 2018 : Bournemouth Pavilion

Derren Brown is at the Pavilion – his act is Underground. Having seen him before he is amazing.

Direct from the West End, the multi-award winning master of mind-control and psychological illusion returns to amaze and enthral audiences with his latest smash hit show.

21st to 24th June 2018 : Isle of Wight Festival

Isle of Wight Festival - Could go for the one day?

I did go a few years ago – and really enjoyed myself – but I am going to Bestival next year so wonder if anyone would like to go for just one day?  It promises to be a “killer” year as The Killers are playing – probably one of the best bands out there right now. Wow!

21-24 June 2018, Isle of Wight, United Kingdom
Isle of Wight Festival, one of the UK's most famous rock and pop music festivals, returns next summer with another star-studded lineup. Kasabian, Depeche Mode, The Killers and Liam Gallagher will be headlining the family-friendly festival, which last year attracted 58,000 music lovers.
