Decluttering is more than a passion or a hobby; for me, it is a way of life. As a child, I instinctively knew that decluttering my bedroom made me feel calmer and more on top of life, even though I did not always feel that ‘on top.’ I think it saved me. I find solace in having an organised bedroom.
Even as a young woman living in London, I would often find myself staying in some less than salubrious places. In fact, some were downright dreadful! I recall one apartment where it was so cold, you had to shuffle into the kitchen in winter, wrapped in a duvet, just to keep warm. My bedroom window never closed, so I would stuff material to bridge the gap between the window ledge and the window. Icicles would be hanging from my bedroom window on waking. It was a good learning ground, that’s for sure.
We are all energy, and energy is all around us. Therefore, it makes sense that the items we have at home have energy too. If you have items in your home that do not reflect you, then you may want to question why you have them.
I now see everything so differently in my home. Every item is either precious or functional. Otherwise, why would it be there? This is not about being minimal; it’s just about being discerning and having items in your home that put a smile on your face.
In this chat with Sara Jane, we will talk about decluttering, what are the benefits of letting go, and why it is becoming such a massive ‘thing’ to help you maintain good mental health.
Over the years, I have embraced all things spiritual and love Reiki, a practice that has really helped me keep balanced and calm. It has also helped me shift energy blocks, which hold us all back.
And if we are talking energy, let me share how Sara ‘found’ me after four years! Sara and I had chatted before, but over the last four years we had lost touch. Therefore, I was delighted to have Sara contact me, and after a fulfilling chat, she invited me onto her show.
So why will it be good for you to join this discussion?
🪷 If you are struggling with clutter and overwhelm.
🪷 You want to understand why you have clutter and what you can do about it.
🪷 You want to know why decluttering is very good for you and the only way to live a clearer, calmer, and more organised life, which will benefit your mental and physical health and that of your family too.
I would be delighted to have you join me and Sara-Jane. Grab yourself a cuppa and enjoy this relaxed and informal chat about clutter.
With Love
Beth
