I often get asked how to declutter your mental health. It’s always a funny moment as I normally say to people that I know a lot about that! In truth, only YOU can declutter your mental health but of course, we are blessed with a plethora of specialists who can help us move forward with the most important part of our health.
I favour CBT to start with or maybe a combination of CBT and Counselling. Counselling is great if you have things to get off your chest. Dependent on the counsellor it is normally a case of listening to you without overly offering solutions. With CBT you are shown your own frailties and strengths and how to better work with other people. In particular it helps with defining your boundaries. I am also a big fan of hypnotherapy. All three healing modalities have helped me get to where I am right now. Very happy!
However, over and above the healers, there are key things you can do to help yourself. Practice your affirmations & gratitude’s, live in the moment, accept what is, and trust that things will turn out okay. Practice makes perfect, 21 days plus and you will be feeling like a new person. Eat well, hang out with your tribe and exercise. Exercise for me stops me sliding into depression and without it I would be half the person I am today.
